Senior Auditor in Atlanta, Georgia

SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking a Senior Auditor for a professional services firm in the Atlanta, Georgia, area to provide accounting and auditing services. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate day to day activities in planning and fieldwork
Prepare financial statements with disclosures
Document, validate, test, and assess various control systems
Act as main point of contact for internal and external clients, answering basic questions and providing information as needed
Provide support for reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements
Apply GAAP as necessary
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or related field required; Master?s degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in public accounting required
Active pursuit of CPA license required; current CPA license preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Solid understanding and experience planning and coordinating the stages to perform an audit of a basic public and/or private company
Knowledge of internal accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc)
Ability to communicate effectively ? both written and verbal - with professionals at all levels of the organization
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Superior analytical and diagnostic skills and ability to break down complex issues and implementing appropriate resolutions
Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on details and accuracy
Solid project management skills
